Welcome back to Franklin Elementary School for the 2016-2017 school year! And to our new families, welcome to our school!
We are very excited about working with your children this year to further their academic pursuits and continue to help develop their interests.
We have a dedicated team in place this year. I would like to take this moment to introduce two new members to our staff. Mme. Gribbin will be teaching pre-k and kindergarten this year and Mme. Picard-Charette will be our resource teacher in French. The latter will in a newly created position this year as we look to build on our French program.
Connection with our community and the support that you provide us is has always been a wonderful hallmark of Franklin Elementary School. I would like to thank all of those who supported us last year, from our many volunteers to our parents, to those who made significant financial contributions to our school. I would like to highlight to people’s contributions in particular, Janick Tetrault-Moise and her team Vie en Forme who raise more than $20 000 for our school this year and Gary Livingstone who will be volunteering his time and donating materials to help improve our school yard.
With the idea of continuing to better know the parent community of the school, we will launch principal’s breakfast. I will be inviting parents to join me for coffee and refreshments at the school on a few occasions this year. This will provide you the opportunity to engage in discussions with other parents and myself. I will be posting a schedule of breakfasts in September.
We are always available for you should you have any questions or concerns.
