Newsletter – September

Dear families,

Welcome back to Franklin Elementary School (FES) for the 2017-2018 school year! We would like to extend the warmest of greetings to our new families. We would like to thank you for entrusting your children to us at FES and thanks to your support, we now have 69 students enrolled at the school, the highest in more than 5 years.

As a team, we are very excited about working with your children this year to fur-ther their academic pursuits and continue to help develop their interests. We will continue to integrate student choice and flexible seating into our classrooms, both of which fit within the responsive classroom model we follow.

We have a dedicated team in place this year. I would like to take this moment to introduce the new and returning members of our staff. Mme Robidoux has returned from a year away and will be our pre-k and kindergarten teacher. Our pre-k is now five days per week. Joining Mme Robidoux in pre-k/k is Ms. Chelsea. We would like to welcome our other new additions Mme Andreanne, Miss Smith, and Miss Marlin to team. Their contact infor-mation is on the school website (franklin.nfsb.qc.ca) if you need to reach them.
Lastly, we would like to thank our volunteers Mme Paula, Miss Greig, Mrs. Craig, Mr. & Mrs. McIntyre, Mrs. Stratford, and many others for helping our students.

As always, feel free to drop into the school to meet with Fay and I to talk about our initiatives and your child.

Have a wonderful rest of the month.

Sincerely,

James Walker
